Inman Park

A car passes through Inman Park, driving in front of Eugene Bales’ home (left). Eugene Bales grew up in Inman Park and refused to sell his home to a man who wanted to build linen factory. Because Bales refused to sell his land, John Sweet and friends were able to buy four homes behind this house on Elizabeth Street that were slated to be torn down for the factory.
