Inside Painted Decoration

Wen Xiangjun (1945-2001), born in Boshan, master of arts and crafts. In 1958, he started his work at Boshan Colored Glaze Factory and studied under Xue Jingwan and Zhang Wentang, masters of inner painting. Being actively engaged in the creation of inner painting for more than 40 years, he not only inherited the cultural traditions and aesthetic essence of inner painting, but also created many new techniques. He is known as one of the four greatest masters of inner painting, adept at drawing figures, flowers, birds, fish and insects, and portraying characters with lines sometimes bold as iron yet sometimes gentle as wind. As Wen Xiangjun has passed away, his works have become even more precious now.
