What to do: This exhibit allows you to create a mountain or a ridge with the sand and see how precipitations - generated by your hands - affect its drainage.
What to notice: Hydrogeological instability includes all those morphologic processes ranging from superficial erosion to landslides and flooding which cause a destructive action for soil, vegetation and buildings in the area. Increasing rainfalls and climate changes may generate instability, but the real cause must be found in anthropogenic actions like deforestation and substandard building works in dangerous areas.
