Interior of the Dr. Susan La Fleshe Picotte Center in Walthill, Nebraska. Dr. Picotte was the first Native American to earn a medical degree, having graduated from the Woman’s Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1889. The site was listed on America's 11 Most Endangered Places List in 2018.
