Interior of the girls’ division at Balachadi

Most buildings were single story, built of wood and masonry and roofed with red tiles. Measurements of children’s rooms were 5 x 40 meters, and each housed 20 to 30 people. For each young resident there was a bed, a small table or shelf and a small chest for personal belongings.
