Inyambo - A mixed media interpretation of the significance of the inyambo cow and an exploration of colour. Long, iyre-like horns for the iconic, hail mark of the inyambo. They are known for the affectionate solid bond they form with their keepers, as well as their calm temperament. Their elegance is highly prized, earning them a volume of poetry. They have currency, markers of social status. Still, most of all they have been an undeniable pillar of civilization in the African Great Lakes region as they have sustained communities for centuries with their blood and milk.
