Ipswich Sparrow, Sable Island National Park Reserve

An Ipswich Sparrow sitting in browning foliage.The sparrow has its recognizable yellow patch above the eye which stands out against the surrounding less vibrant brown and cream feathers of its body.
The Ipswich Sparrow is a species at risk and a subspecies of the Savannah sparrow. It lives on Sable Island for most of the year.
