Iron Age Worked Bone

This piece of worked bone is a toggle, used as a clothing fastening. The decorations consisting of stylised and abstract designs of lines and curves carved into this object are summative of those used to decorate objects during the Iron Age. This type of work would have been carried out by a skilled craftsman.
