The Communion of Saint Theresa

A masterpieces by the ill-fated Juan Martín Cabezalero. The painting depicts a passage of "Historia y admirable vida del glorioso Padre San Pedro de Alcántara", written in 1669 by Friar Antonio de la Huerta. In the chronicle relate the apparition of San Antonio de Padua and San Francisco de Asís, deacon and subdeacon, in the celebrate mass by San Pedro de Alcántara in the moment to administer communion to Santa Teresa.
