This decorative axe-head is fashioned from jade. One side of this accessory features a relief of a reclining dog while the other shows a relief of the character xu in seal script. The poll of the axe-head is carved in openwork with a double kui-dragon design. A cord of yellow silk is fastened to the decorative poll with a bronze hook for hanging on one end and four green-silk tassels on the other.
