고종 10년(1873)년에 문조비 신정왕후(1808~1890)에게 '협천(協天)'이란 존호를 올리면서 만든 어보이다. 이 어보에 새겨진 보문 내용 중 2글자씩의 단어는 모두 존호를 새긴 것인데 생전에 존호 올린 것을 만든 어보는 모두 옥보이다.
