Snuff bottles were often used during the Qing dynasty. Owned by doctors, they contained a mixture of tobacco and other leaves as an herbal medicine. Dragons are perhaps the most common symbol in Chinese art. A dragon can symbolize good luck, fortune, prosperity, longevity, heaven, and the emperor.
