"Jane" design

These two master shoemakers from Barcelona have been nominated for the Product Award for their Jane design, a piece that defends the act of walking, inspired by the North American activist Jane Jacobs. These are soft and flexible shoes that invite you to take a stroll around the city. The Jane model has a minimalist design with a single pattern sewn on the back. The traditional reinforcements have been replaced by longitudinal seams that maintain the shape of the shoe. In this series, the most artisanal and traditional shoemaking techniques, such as the hand-stitching of the sole, are combined with clear innovations in terms of pattern and design.
