This reconstructed building is all original, with the exception of the floor, which had caved in and deteriorated, and set of window bars near the door, which were sold. The logs were cleaned and disinfected, tagged, and replaced in the Freedom Center. A synthetic daubing/mortar mixture replaced the original of lime, mud, and hay. The surviving chinking stones were brought to the Freedom Center and replaced between the logs.
