Official replica of the Jules Rimet trophy commissioned by the Football Association for the 1966 World Cup in England and used in many of the publicity photographs.
The Jules Rimet Trophy first appeared at the Sweden World Cup in 1958 and was given permanently to Brazil after they won the World Cup for the third time in 1970.
It was placed in a bullet proof cabinet but the eventual thief decided to use a crowbar instead of a firearm. The panel was levered off easily and and the trophy has never been recovered.
