Justice

In the mid-1980s Alex Mylona was working on a series of drawings with the aim of creating a series of sculptures in which words would be illustrated in block-lettering, words that constitute the primary values of human life, meanings that must govern human society and the relationships between its members. The values-words that Mylona deals with are: Love, Truth, Justice, Fairness, Peace, and Eros.
She visualizes the word ΔΙΚΑΙΟ (JUSTICE), creating a large work in the public space. Four white elements make up the sculpture titled JUSTICE (1986), placed in the outdoor spaces of MOMus - Museum of Contemporary Art within the TIF-HELEXPO exhibition park. The capital letters Δ, Ι, Κ, Α are presented in their entirety, while the letter Ο is implied. Whichever way you try to "read" the work, it is sure that the deepest meaning concerning human character of her work will be conveyed, since as she has said, "life does not enter the work of art, it is found, it exists within it".
