The hall, inspired by the archaeological findings of the city of Pompeii, is located on the first floor of the palace. In the image, details of the wall located at the back of the hall, with paintings by Emil Bauch.

The architectural reform of 1896 replaced the original ceiling motifs with dates from the history of Brazil: those of the Discovery (April 22, 1500), Independence (7 September 1822), the Abolition of Slavery (May 13, 1888) and the establishment of the Republic (November 15, 1889).
