Here, Kali is represented as an eight armed goddess standing on a lotus-shaped pedestal with flames emanating from her head. Her ferocious aspect is depicted in this bronze sculpture in the form of a skull above her forehead and large tusks protruding from her lips. Hindu mythology associates Kali with the concept of Time and the acts of creation and destruction.
