B.V.Karanth plays Junja, tribal leader of the outlaws. Rama, who fought the British to retain his tribe's rights to the Malnad forest ranges in Karnataka. Betrayed by his paramour, Rama was handcuffed and dragged over 30 kms for summary trial. He was shot dead by a firing squad.
