Karanfiller/Carnations

Koleksiyon’daki “Feyhaman” imzalı, tarihsiz Karanfiller tablosundaki pembe karanfiller, kompozisyonun zeminini ve fonunu bol kıvrımlarıyla kaplayan parlak turkuaz örtünün önünde sanatçıya özgü bir renk patlaması yapar. İçinde bulundukları koyu renk vazoyu ve hatta vazonun yanında duran mavi kâseyi ise geri plana iter, izleyiciyi tekrar tekrar resme bakmaya yönlendirir.

The undated painting Carnations, signed “Feyhaman” and part of the collection, features pink carnations that burst with color in front of a bright turquoise cloth—rich in folds—that dominates both the foreground and background of the composition. This vibrant display, characteristic of the artist’s unique use of color, pushes the dark-colored vase holding the flowers, and even the nearby blue bowl, into the background. The intense chromatic contrast draws the viewer’s eye again and again, inviting repeated contemplation of the painting.
