Kato Poroia, Serres, From the series Hearths of Tradition

In his series Hearths of Tradition Pavlidis studies interior spaces (houses, coffee shops, workshops, churches) of the Greek countryside, that bear the visible mark of time and tradition, occasionally including their tenants. His work, founded on the documentary style and bearing influences from painting, brings out the essential simplicity of everyday popular life, exposed as it is to the silent touch of time.
