This is the Kherson Regional Art Museum named after Oleksiy Shovkunenko, located in the former building of the City Duma. The Duma building was erected in the early twentieth century by the famous Odessa architect Adolf Minkus. The architectural style of the building is eclectic, which combines elements of Neo-Renaissance, Neoclassicism and Modernism. Now the building houses an art museum named after Oleksiy Shovkunenko, a Ukrainian artist and teacher. It houses more than 60 of his paintings, which were donated to the museum by the artist's widow in 1981.
