Brooklyn based street artist Dan Witz is best known for his humourous trompe l'oeil stickers and paste-ups, which he contributed multiple version of when he visited Nuart in 2011.

Born in 1957, the artist began creating street art when he moved to New York City in the late 1970s. He has been engaging with public space through the no-wave and DIY movements of New York's Lower East Side of the '70s, through the Reaganomics of the '80s to the flourishing of graffiti art in the 21st century. Witz' work is grounded in a rigorous conceptual framework while retaining a clear link to art history.
