"Sixty-nine Stations of Kiso Road" is the series of 71 ukiyoe prints published from 1835 through 1842. This picture depicts the state of 10th Honjo-shuku from Nihonbashi (Tokyo). This picture depicts the ferry of Knna-gawa River close to the 10th Honjo-Shuku from Nihonbashi (Tokyo) in Kiso Kaido. At that time people were able to pass by wood brige until the sandbar of the river. However, in order to cross the river from the sandbar, they had to get on the boat. Daimyo of sankin-kotai is across the bridge. In the distance, we can see Mount Akagi, Mount Haruna, Mount Myogi, Mount Asama, Mount Nantaisan of Nikko.
