Robert Rockwell's reclining lesser koodoo - an example of his superb taxidermy work.
The poses created for the animals by Rockwell are unsurpassed. Few museum taxidermists can match him for creating a dramatic pose and achieving an effect of arrested motion. The viewer is not quite certain whether the animal is going to suddenly leap to its feet and take flight, or quietly curl up on the ground in rest.
