KRISHNA LEELA: As the name suggests, the playful Krishna took away the clothes of the Gopika women who were bathing in the Kalindi river. He climbed to the top of the tree and started playing the flute. Krishna returned the clothes only after the Gopis saluted Krishna with folded hands.

This print from the Ravi Varma Press derived from a painting by Raja Ravi Varma depicts the mischief of Krishna atop the tree.
