Asai Ichigo, a modern craftsman of Kutani, created this dish embodying his high degree of artistic proficiency. Drawn with a great deal of attention and a sense of tension, its lines are nothing short of awesome. Described as “blood red,” the dark tone of its red overglaze adds to its sense of magnificence.
