Kyai Garuda Kencana

The official vehicle of the King of the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace Heirloom Carriage of the Surakarta Hadiningrat Palace made by the Netherlands in 1836 is a relic of Sri Susuhunan Paku Buwono VII usually used for major ceremonies such as the great fiestas during the anniversary of the king's ascension (Tingalan Dalem Jumenengan). This chariot was only ridden by the king and queen at the time when the great chariot was pulled by 8 horses manned by a charioteer who were sitting in the front of the chariot's compartment/cabin as the controller of the horses
