Beatriz Gonzalez is one of the most influential artists in the Colombian art scene. Her works constantly refer popular icons of mass disseminations (magazines, newspapers and television), and even artistic landmarks. Gonzalez apropiates these images and transforms them, usually depicting them on everyday ob- jects. Her works are a reflection of how society sees itself and how the media represents it.
