Labuhan Parang Kusumo (2)

Labuhan Parang Kusumo is a ceremony in which people make offerings to the sea. The activities are done altogether with the throwing away the clothes of Sinuhun (symbolical), along with his hairs and nails that cannot be casually disposed. Parang Kusumo is located at the south beaches of Yogyakarta, spiritually believed as the place where The Queen of South Beach, Kanjeng Ratu Kidul, encountered the ancestor of The King of Mataram, Panembahan Senopati.
