Lady Blanka Rosenstiel Awards the First Prize

The first prize cash award had gone up to $20,000 for the 8th edition of the National Chopin Piano Competition in 2010. The winner, Claire Huangci also received the special prizes for Best Mazurka and Best Polonaise for an additional $5,000. An additional $44,000 in cash prizes was awarded to the other 5 finalists. The prizes were sponsored by supportive individual donors and the American Council for Polish Culture.
