This post card, written March 9, 1911, depicts Lake Abana in Grant Park, Atlanta's oldest City Park. The lake was a popular leisure space for park visitors. By the early 1900s, Lake Abana was used for both swimming and boating. As Zoo Atlanta expanded in the 1960s, Lake Abana was drained.
