Large Headless Standing Figure

Large statuette made from broad shallow rectangular block. The finish is rough but preservation is remarkably good. The right hand however is practically obliterated. It hangs down the side while the left one is held across the abdomen. The shoulder has a deep conical socket with one hole pierced through from the front and one from the back. The breasts are of the not clearly marked variety. There are 3 folds in the abdomen below which is represented a roll of fat which seems to cover the hips. The calves are fat and stubby, the feet short with high instep. The whole stands on a rectangular pedestal, which has a ridge round the top and two rows of drilled dots below this on all four sides. These dots retain traces of red pigment.
