Lerisa Kvitka, or Lesya Ukrainka

Lesya Ukrainka (1871-1913) was one of Ukrainian literature's most famous writers. She was most known for her poems and plays. Lesya, was also a political, civil and feminist activist. Her plays and poems had universal themes, but also reflected her homeland's struggles for greater freedoms.
