"Lecciones de geografia universal" ("Lessons of universal geography") is a study material for schoolchildren made by the Peruvian writer Teresa Gonzalez de Fanning (Ancash, 1836 - Lima, 1918). As a pedagogue, Gonzalez questioned how female education was imparted in her time, founding her own school for women, where courses such as mathematics, grammar, geography, home economics, Peruvian history, and religion were taught. This book is an example of the materials that she prepared for her students, where she developed themes and concepts related to general and national geography, and of the various nations in the continents.
