Letter from Joseph Lemkin in Wolkowysk to his son Raphael Lemkin in the U.S. He writes that they are all doing well and that he is at home because the potato sowing is over. Brother Elias and his wife Liza and children send their regards. This may have been the last letter that Lemkin ever received from his parents. When the Nazis swept east in June 1941, Belorussia fell under their control. By early 1943, almost all Jews in the vicinity of Wolkowysk had been murdered.
