Letter from Louisa Garrett Anderson to Elizabeth Garrett Anderson. 14 Oct 1914.
Dearest
There is no time for a letter tonight - and in any case I wrote at length last night - but I send you the snap shot of the Roll Call at Victoria Station when we started. The photograph seems to be absurdly like you. We have had a wet day here but crowds of visitors have poured in notwithstanding - Miss Jane Harrison among the number.
Much love to you all my beloveds

Our 2 ambulances with Dr Cuthbert are starting for the fighting line tomorrow at 6 am as part of a convoy under the charge of the aide de camp of Gen. Fevrier [Head of the French army medical department in Paris] . It will be most interesting.
