Letter from Mary Lee to her friend, Mrs Dawes, 25 December 1899.
South Australian suffragist, Mary Lee, writes to her friend, Isabella Dawes, 'You are so constantly with me - so continuously in my thought'. The letter continues with a comment on the wisdom of moving to a house near the beach. Three months earlier, on 25 September, Isabella's husband Robert Dawes had died, and on the same day she had given birth to their fourth child, Robert.
