(Copy of V-Mail letter from Mr. T. Sizer to Mr. Dinsmoor, Oct. 12, 1943) Dear Dinsmoor: You, Francis, Sumner et al. would like to know about the maps on which you all worked so hard and so effectively. They have all come thru, happily, and have been placed just where they belong & in the right hands. How rarely does this happen in war time. The maps are so good that they have been used for other purposes than for which they were not designed. You will be amused when I tell you. The information is in the best possible form - neither too much detail nor too little. As a matter of fact, the whole post is most enthusiastic over your performance - the British most of all. You have done a superb job! And you should know it. If you get half a minute from your work drop me a line to let me know how the work goes. I find myself on the lecture platform telling large audiences of British & American officers about the problem which confronts us & about what you have done in placing such an extraordinary fine tool in our hands. It is pleasant to be in a position to toot the horn of our profession. Most of what I would have you know cannot be said until this mess is over - a year or so hence? I am most interested in getting into the country of our chief enemy. My best to your co-workers & to those magnificent women in the Frick. As ever T.S.
