To the General Directorate of the Ottoman Bank in ConstantinopleI would kindly request that the sum of fifty-two thousand nine hundred and seventy Ottoman liras which I had deposited in capital at your esteemed administration be sent, along with the accrued interest, through the intermediary of a person among your employees as may be deemed appropriate by your Bank in order to deliver the said sum to my person in Salonika. If it is seen fit by your Bank to assign this task to an employee to be dispatched for this purpose, the per diem and other expenses necessitated by this person shall be met directly by myself; if, on the other hand, sending an employee does not seem indispensable and it is judged that the mentioned transaction can be carried out by one of the banks in Salonika, the necessary expenses on this occasion shall also be directly assumed by myself. I declare that I am disposed to sign all necessary documents or other papers to be presented by the appointed employee in the case of the aforementioned sum being delivered by the employee in question, otherwise if this task is commissioned to a bank in Salonika the same commitment holds for the bank in question, and am prepared to perform all necessary transactions having to do with the aforementioned issue.Abdülhamid Salonika 5 May 1325
