Weighing 607g, this slender willow-leaf-shaped knife has a sharp blade with a tip that slightly tilts upwards, forming a flowing curvy line. It is equipped with a removable oval cross-guard, which serves as the divider between the blade and the hilt so as to protect the hand holding the knife. This knife of the Liao and Jin dynasties (916-1368 AD) established by nomads from the far north of China bears distinct features of these nomadic people who lived by fishing or hunting.
