Armando Diaz of Italy, Marshal Ferdinand Foch of France, Gen. John J. Pershing, Adm. David Beatty of Great Britain, along with then Vice President Calvin Coolidge, were all in Kansas City for the American Legion Convention and the dedication of the Liberty Memorial (now the National WWI Museum and Memorial.)
