“As the Crinum pedunculatum [Swamp Lily] is abundant on many parts of Ash Island, we have ventured to annex a slight view of the Cottage [the Scott's home on Ash Island], by the pencil of Mr [Conrad] Martens. Several larvae may be seen on the leaves, and the perfect insects on, or about the flowers.” Description from an unpublished manuscript for AW Scott, ’Australian Lepidoptera and their Transformations’ (1864-1898).
