Lion’s Head is a mountain situated 610 metres above Cape Town’s coastline. The mountain was given its name by early Dutch settlers who believed it resembled the head of a lion.
Lion’s Head offers fantastic views of Cape Town. From the top of the mountain, Table Bay and Robben Island can be seen. Further along, on a clear day, it is possible to see the Atlantis sand dunes and Blouberg Beach.
