The living room of the New York city townhouse apartment of Atlantic Recording Corporation president Ahmet Ertegun and his wife, socialite Mica Ertegun. Persian rugs cover the parquet floor. The left wall is divided by a curved staircase, and in the foreground next to it is Ellsworth Kelly's 1959 painting "York". Below it is a white sofa and a pair of armless chairs, upholstered in patterned white fabric, surrounding a glass table with an ostrich shell centerpiece.
