The living room of the Palazzo Odescalchi in Rome, redesigned by Giorgio Pes and Roberto Federici, and filled with contemporary American artworks.
The walls and celing are lacquered in white, and the floor is covered in beige carpeting. Three long windows outlined in rivet studded molding overlook the Church of the Santi Apostoli; on the walls between them are paintings by Tom Wesselmann (left) and Robert Indiana (right). A stainless steel sculpture by Beverly Pepper divides the floor. Beige banquettes line a conversation pit facing a fireplace, over which hangs Roy Lichtenstein's "Engagement Ring" (1961).
