In Križanić's extensive oeuvre, the most represented are political caricatures, with the dominant theme of Yugoslav socio-political circumstances, so he is rightly considered the progenitor of the Yugoslav / Serbian political caricature, but also a kind of chronicler of the time. In addition to political caricatures, he left behind a "gallery" of portraits of prominent writers, artists, journalists, self-portraits, including several caricatures of his wife Liza Križanić (nee Marić). With simple artistic solutions which are free of superfluous details and excessive deformations of the physical characteristics of the portrayed personalities, Križanić clearly shows his focus on the psychological study of character. A sure drawing, with discrete coloristic accents, is a feature of Pierre's artistic expression, whether it is a socially-engaged caricature or one that aims to entertain the observer / reader.
