Gyeongju National Museum
Gyeongju-si, South Korea

This is a dark-grey long-necked bottle made of fine clay. The surface of the earthenware is marked with traces of coarse wheel throwing. The neck of the bottle was decorated with sparse and rough incised lines or wave designs. This reflects the characteristic of pottery in late Unified Silla, during which stamp design gradually disappeared. This is presumed to be a pottery form made during the transitional period from Unified Silla to Goryeo.
