Capability Brown's Church Pool forms a beautiful foil to not only the parish church - which stands behind the photographer of this image - but also to the Conservatory. The present conservatory dates from the early twentieth century, when it was rebuilt in hardwood by Foster and Pearson. This structure, in turn, succeeded a cast iron conservatory of the 1820s, the footings of which it occupies. The Foster and Pearson Conseravatory was restored by the Weston Park Foundation in 2012 and now provides shelter to less hardy and exotic plants.
