Brochier technologies have adapted Jacquard weaving for use with new materials such as optical fibres, and in this way have been able to create luminous fabrics. This innovation was used for the Olivier Lapidus haute couture fashion show in 2000. It has been patented. A new dress has been designed by Mongi Guibane for the Musée des Confluences.
